Case Study: Virtual Classroom and real world methodology The best of both worlds

With around 3,000 employees and 5,000 teachers, Salta Group is the largest private educational institution in the Benelux with a strategic focus on education and training. Every year, over 1 million people expand their knowledge and skills through a Salta Group instructor.

From one day to the next, face-to-face teaching could no longer take place due to the lockdown in March 2020 and it was necessary to switch to a digital solution as soon as possible. With vitero as a partner, the Salta Group was able to react quickly to this challenge. Within only two days, the teaching units could be virtualised and conducted via the Virtual Classroom vitero inspire.

It was particularly important to the Salta Group that the digital learning environment offers significantly more functions than classic video conferencing software. “Both teachers and students are enthusiastic about the possibilities in vitero inspire. The teachers notice that their students stay on task much better. The room is designed in such a way that everyone focuses on the same medium,” says Tessel Jarigsma, Director of Salta Group Professional Education.

Due to the very positive response from both students and docents, Salta Group has decided to continue offering vitero’s Virtual Classroom as an integral part of its product range even after the pandemic.
